About the role

Our client is looking for a V.P. of Marketing to take the brand to the next level and drive growth. Disruption is not easy and the VP of Marketing will be crucial in taking the startup to the next level. The ideal candidate has built a B2C brand from the ground up and can help drive strategy and manage the tactical marketing operation. Also, a passion for women’s health is a PLUS! We’re talking to millennial moms in a category driven by word-of-mouth so social media and influencer marketing experience is critical. The startup offers competitive salary, performance bonus and full benefits offering.

The V.P. Marketing will be responsible to:

  • Build the Brand and Strategy: Articulate key messaging, determining marketing mix, and spend levels.
  • Develop and Execute Marketing Campaigns: Lead creative and content development process, tactical planning, and media buying.
  • Social Media: Expand the social media effort including managing existing social channels and building out new ones.
  • Executive Collaboration: Working together with Executive Leadership Team, lead a public relations campaign to raise awareness about maternity care.
  • Partnerships: Identify and drive partnerships and affiliate strategies that can help build brand awareness and drive client acquisition.
  • Web Presence: Maintain the Company’s website, blog and newsletters.
  • Analytics: Measure the impact of individual campaigns and the effectiveness of key channels. Set up Marketing Automation. Improve the efficiencies to lower customer acquisition cost.
  • Coordinator Vendors: Select and partner with marketing agencies and vendors to support business needs.
  • Build a Team: eventually build out a marketing team.

The ideal V.P. of Marketing candidate will have the following background:

  • 8+ years of progressive growth within B2C marketing
  • Proven experience developing winning consumer brands, experience in healthcare or women’s retail preferred; agency experience a plus
  • Startup experience preferred, but not required
  • Social media savvy
  • Webmaster and digital marketing experience preferred. Experience working with SalesForce, Pardot/Hubspot (or another similar content management platform) a plus
  • Ability to switch between big picture thinking and granular details
  • A roll-up your sleeves, hands on approach to developing work product
  • Ability and desire to work as part of a fast-paced team with a positive and collaborative approach
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks
  • Ability to travel, as required
  • Availability for work outside of normal business hours a plus due to dynamic start-up nature of the business
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills, with a strong creative eye
  • Bachelor’s degree. Masters in a plus.

$175,000-$300,000
