About the Head of Marketing role

The Head of Marketing will be responsible for overseeing the B2C strategy, development, implementation and optimization of marketing campaigns, user acquisition, digital tools, with the objective of increasing brand awareness and online/offline traffic. The ideal candidate has built a B2C marketing brand from the ground up and can help drive strategy and manage the tactical execution.

Responsibilities for the Head of Marketing:

  • Brand Strategy: Work closely w/ COO and Product Manager to bring the brand positioning to life, designing strategies for multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Build User Acquisition: Build and develop segmentation, value proposition and messaging for consumer offering. Implement marketing automation.
  • Collaboration: Lead team of external collaborators through the execution of direct marketing campaigns and brand equity initiatives.
  • Set Goals: Develop and own an integrated marketing calendar, ensuring all channels (owned, earned and paid) are aligned to achieve the goals of the company.
  • Vendor: Collaborate with external marketing and creative agencies in the development and execution of brand equity campaigns (influencer campaigns, launch events, partnerships, etc.
  • Manage day-to-day relationship with media buying agencies for brand awareness and sales efforts (display ads and offline media).
  • Social Media: Define and overview social media strategy to support brand campaigns and achieve brand awareness goals.
  • Analytics: Continuously evaluate ROI for our marketing investments and adjust strategy accordingly.
  • Competitive Analysis: Contribute to the product development strategy by analyzing market trends and gathering audience insights.
  • Grow Your Team: Over time, you will have the opportunity to build and mentor a team

Ideal requirements for the Head of Marketing:

  • 7+ years of brand marketing experience, preferably from a high growth Consumer/B2C brand
  • Experience at a traditional CPG or a tech startup
  • Experience developing and executing impactful multi-channel campaigns.
  • Scrappy, hands-on, and can implement campaigns with limited budget
  • Comfortable managing multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Strong analytical skills and experience managing marketing budgets
  • Proven ability to inspire and manage employees, internal teams and third-party partners
  • Project management whiz who can skillfully communicate verbally and in writing
  • Resourceful and proactive in identifying problems and finding solutions
  • Thrive in a fast-paced and scaling organization
  • Bachelor’s Degree, MBA preferred but not necessary

$120,000-$140,000
